Regular (Appointed and Classified) Positions

Regular open positions at the University Libraries are listed below in a brief descriptive snapshot. Full details for these positions are on the UA CareerTrack site. Individuals should only apply for positions that are open; we do not accept resumes for future openings.

Open Appointed Positions (Librarian, Archivist, Administrative, other Appointed Professional):

  • Chief Curator, Center for Creative Photography, Job #49311. Negotiate and acquire significant archives, collections and individual works of art; prepare and curate exhibition programs including layout, interpretation and communication; collaborate with the Center’s director and staff about the Center's priorities, policies and operations; and play a major role in setting priorities for processing, digitization, preservation and conservation workflows; and work with director and development officer to cultivate support for the Center, including donor relations and fundraising. Salary: $94,981 annually. Opened: 1-9-12; Closes: Open Until Filled; First Review Date: 2-15-12. (Dept. 1702 - Center for Creative Photography).  
  • The Arthur J. Bell Senior Photograph Conservator, Job #47482.  Develops and implements a new program to preserve the Center for Creative Photography’s collections. Responsible for condition assessment and conservation treatments, and developing treatment plans, protocols, and an environmental monitoring program regarding the Center’s photographic materials and archives. Supervises staff, communicates/advocates and works with CCP team and Director to fulfill the Center’s mission. Salary $DOE.  Opened:  5-26-11; Open Until Filled; First Review Date: 7-5-11.  (Dept. 1702 - Center for Creative Photography).
