Bulletin Board & Display Policies
For Main, Science-Engineering, Fine Arts and Center for Creative Photography Libraries:
Only University of Arizona related materials may be posted or distributed in the Libraries, according to the policies below.
Personal message boards are intended to leave notes for friends and classmates and will be cleaned off daily.
Locations:
Main Library Bulletin Boards:
Display bulletin board: 2nd Floor lobby, North window, across from Information/Circulation Desk
No approval necessary; cleaned off periodically
Personal message boards:
1st Floor, Information Commons, Tier 1 Lounge, near ILC courtyard door
2nd Floor lobby, across from elevators
No approval necessary; cleaned off daily
Main Library Lobby Display Racks:
Materials for distribution are placed in the Library's display racks in the Main Library lobby, between the front doors and the security gates. Only Library display racks are permitted in the Library; all others racks may be placed outside the Library in the Bookend Café area.
Groups, organizations, departments, etc. will be asked to maintain their own stock and remove materials as the timeliness of the material expires. The display racks will be monitored to dispose of outdated materials and materials which do not conform to the Library's guidelines.
Do not leave surplus material on the floor near the racks or at the Information/Circulation Desk or it will be discarded.
Science-Engineering Library:
Display bulletin board: 3rd Floor lobby, across from elevators
Approval obtained at SEL Administrative Office, Room 209, weekdays, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.Personal message board: 2nd Floor elevator lobby, across from elevators
No approval necessary; cleaned off dailyDo not leave material elsewhere (in the lobby, near the door, etc.) or it will be discarded.
Fine Arts Library [Music Building, Rm 233]:
Display bulletin board: Inside Library entrance, to the left of the doors
Approval obtained at Fine Arts Library Circulation DeskNo personal message board
Center for Creative Photography Library:
No display or personal message boards.
Distribution of University of Arizona related materials may be approved for display following these policies:
- Groups, organizations, departments, etc. are verified as University of Arizona affiliated if found in:
Student/Faculty/Staff Directory OR ASUA Recognized Student Clubs & Organizations provided by the Department of Student Programs, (520) 621-8046 - Fund raising advertisements (e.g. sales on the Mall/campus to benefit a club, organization, etc.) are NOT allowed. Only material for UA Library fundraising events are allowed within the Library.
- Political or campaign announcements (campus, local, state or national) are NOT allowed.
- As with other University buildings, posting of commercial or campus related handbills, flyers, etc., is not permitted on exterior or interior walls, windows or doors.
- Only one copy of flyer/poster permitted.
- NO staples!
