About the Libraries
Fine Arts Library
The University of Arizona Fine Arts Library (formerly the UA Music Library) houses the UA Libraries' music holdings and a substantial portion of the Libraries' architecture holdings, some of which are also kept in the Science Engineering and Main Libraries. Included in the Fine Arts collection are reference materials, books, journals, scores, sound recordings and films. It is also home to the National Flute Association Library and has extensive collections of scores, recordings and monographs in Western art music, particularly opera. Other collections of note include the Hill and Phillips collections of popular sheet music and the William K. Bunis collection of recorded jazz.
Additionally, the Fine Arts Lilbrary houses a number of public computer workstations with specialized software, listening stations, and equipment for viewing microfilm and videos. Patrons using the FA Library may borrow laptops and receive reference assistance from any of the Library's knowledgeable, friendly staff.
The CCP Library is located on the first floor of the UA Center for Creative Photography. Books on photography abound, in particular those which feature the works of photographers whose archives are housed within CCP's special collections. The CCP Library also offers photography-related reference resources and journals, as well as a collection of rare and out of print books.
