1996 ALADN CONFERENCE

March 5-8, 1996
Irvine, CA

Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the ALADN Conference Committee it is our pleasure to extend an invitation for you to join the 1996 ALADN Conference. It is our goal to provide a unique program of library development related topics and speakers to help you strengthen and refine your development program.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in the future of Academic and Research Libraries, including development officers and directors for academic and research libraries, library directors and deans who have, or are contemplating, a development effort.

Who are the faculty?

Victoria Steele, author of Becoming a Fundraiser, and Head of Special Collections at USC will present the keynote address and participate as a panelist. Her experience in the academic environment and practical approach to fundraising promise to offer a great deal to both directors and development officers.

Experienced, successful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic library development professionals from around the country representing a variety of viewpoints and institutional styles will lead sessions on relevant, applicable topics.

What will I get out of it?

Why you should attend:

How much does it cost?

Registration is $225, plus hotel and transportation. For the money, we feel that this is one of the best library-specific development and fundraising conferences you'll find.

What is the Saturday Excursion?

We are offering the opportunity for attendees to take a day trip to the San Diego Zoo on Saturday, March 9, following the conference. The cost will be $25 for transportation plus admission.

The registration form provides you with information about the costs and arrangements for the conference. We look forward to you joining us in March.

The complete conference schedule is now available.

Cordially,
