This tutorial will introduce you to Euromonitor's Passport Database, where you can find information about brands, companies, industries, and consumer trends by country and region.
In order to use the database, you first need to accept Euromonitor's terms & conditions. To accept, scroll down the page at right and select the Accept button.
Use the arrows below to navigate through the tutorial.
Your task: To find out what information is available about Pepsi in the Philippines and compare that to several other countries in the region.
To search by a brand, select the Search tab at the top of the page.
Next, type the brand you're searching for, Pepsi, in the search box (where it says "Type Brand Name").
A list of brands associated with Pepsi should populate the page. For this example, select:
Then select Next >
Now select Soft Drinks from the Industry Categories.
Expand the resulting options by choosing the + button for Asia Pacific.
Select Search >
Select the Brand share link in the results.
In this chart, you'll see the market share by country and year from 2009 to 2015.

Now we'll search by company.
Select the Passport icon in the top left corner to return to the home page.
Your task: To find the country in Eastern Europe where Monster controls the highest percentage of the sports and energy drinks market.
To search by company, select the Search tab at the top of the page.
From the Search Full Tree drop-down menu, select Companies and then Go.
Enter Monster in the search box.
From the resulting options, select Monster Beverage Corp. Click Next.
On the next screen, select the + by Soft Drinks. Then select Sports and Energy Drinks. Then select Next >

Now let's look at consumer trends for Brazil.
Return to Euromonitor's home page by selecting the Passport icon in the top left corner of the page.
Hover over the Consumers tab in the top black ribbon. Select Lifestyles.
Under Analysis Finder, click Select Theme/Content and select Content. Open the Choose Geography drop-down menu and select the + for Latin American and then Brazil.
Select Go >
