The Jack Sheaffer Photograph Digital Collection contains over 10,000 images that document the photographic history of southern Arizona during a time of most explosive growth, from 1955 - 1975. The digital collection is a sampling of the entire archive which contains an estimated 300,000 photographic images. Jack Sheaffer photographed both major and minor events, including: politics, sports, annual civic events, like the Tucson Rodeo, celebrity visits, tragic accidents, and local beauty pageants.
The collection is currently being processed and descriptive controls are minimal. To view additional images not included in the digital collection, researchers are highly advised to contact us prior to visiting, so that we may better assist you.
