Miss Estelle Lutrell: an exhibit about UA Library History
Studio Portrait of Howard Judson Hall, undated.
Howard Judson Hall (1869-1941) was one of the UA's six original faculty members in 1891. He served as professor of English, dean of the faculty, principal of the preparatory school--and librarian. In 1904 he left the UA for a distinguished career in English and American Literature at Stanford University, his alma mater. He returned often to Tucson, and he and Estelle remained in touch about UA matters for many years.
