SUMMARY A documentary about the Lascaux Cave paintings uncovered in the Dordogne region in France in 1940. Re-creates the circumstances of the discovery. Two small boys chasing a rabbit with their dog fall through the ground into caverns and find that the walls are covered with the forms of animals. Shows photographs of the paintings and explains that they are one of the most significant finds of prehistoric remains.
