How to Identify and locate an empirical study
By the end of this module you will know how to:
- Know what elements make up an empirical study
- Search the PsycINFO database
- Locate three empirical studies related to your topic
You will need to work your way through the steps outlined below:
Step 1:
Learn about what makes-up an empirical study
- Read the description of what makes up an empirical study and complete the practice exercise.
Step 2:
Find your own empirical studies
- Open up PsycINFO. There will be a checkbox in the upper-right corner of the screen. Click it for guided help and hints on how to locate an empirical study.
