Academic Search Premier — Multidisciplinary database that includes many full-text articles.

Academic Onefile — Academic OneFile includes a high percentage of peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources.

Film Feature Forum — The on-line bibliography by the Audio-Visual Euro-Net. This online index offers English abstracts of essays and articles recently published in eleven film journals all over Europe.

Film Index International — Detailed information about motion pictures (production information) & cinema workers. Includes references to articles.

Film Literature Index Online (1976-2001) — The FLI Online contains approximately 700,000 citations to articles, film reviews and book reviews published between 1976-2001.  The print version, at Z5784.M9 F5 Info Commons Ref covers 1973-present.

Humanities International CompleteWide bibliographic coverage of humanities literature.

International Index to Film Periodicals [FIAF] — FIAF Index to Film Periodicals is a bibliographical index offering coverage of domestic and international academic and popular film journals from 1972 to the present.

International Index to the Performing Arts — Covers the disciplines of dance, film, drama/theater, broadcast arts, the performance business and more. Indexes dozens of film and media arts related journals.

MLA —Database of articles on literature, literary criticism, and linguistics. 1963-present.

Shakespeare Bibliography — A searchable electronic database consisting of the most comprehensive record of Shakespeare-related scholarship and theatrical productions published or produced worldwide between 1963 and 2006. The New Film Index: A Bibliography of Magazine Articles in English, 1930-1970. Z5784.M9 M29 1975 Main — A good source for historical research on film. Most databases do not cover these early years.

Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature — AI3 .R48 Information Commons Ref. — Includes references to actors, actresses, directors, and other people in the film and television industries. The library has the printed edition of the index from the late nineteenth century to date.

Retrospective Index to Film Periodicals, 1930-1971. — Z5784.M9 B39 Main — Historical index of film scholarship predates the Film Literature Index, above. Indexes 14 English-language film periodicals, as well as articles from the Village Voice.

The critical index: a bibliography of articles on film in English, 1946-1973. — Z5784.M9 G47 Main. — A good source for critical material from the early post-war years through the early 1970s.
