Industry/Trade Associations
Industry/trade associations (e.g., National Coffee Association of U.S.A.) are often a good source of information about companies and industries. The database Encyclopedia of Associations contains information on approximately 400,000 international and U.S. national, regional, state and local nonprofit membership organizations in all fields. You can search by subject or SIC code.
Also, if you find industry associations mentioned in a business article, search for that association's homepage on the Web. Some of them have additional reports and data about their industry on their Web sites.

International Trade Administration
JETRO - Japanese External Trade Organization
Japanese organization that promotes trade between Japan and other countries. Includes JETRO Market Reports, "covering a wide range of products, services and industries, including relevant laws and regulations, case studies, current market trends and advice on market entry."

World Bank
The World Bank's Data & Statistics page provides links to Data by Country (includes country data profiles and country at a glance reports) and Data by Topic (from domestic finance to macroeconomics and growth). The World Bank also publishes World Development Indicators.
