MKTG 456 – International Marketing Management: Library Research Guide
Products
A key way to find information about companies is by reading through articles from business magazines, newspapers, journals, and trade publications. Often, this is the only way to find some types of information, and you may need to read through many articles to find the information you need. The library subscribes to several databases of business publications. The ones I recommend for this project are:
- ABI/Inform
Database of mostly full-text articles from nearly 1800 business periodicals. Try a search on the company name in the Company search field and product in the Subject search field.
- Business Source Complete
Database with full text from thousands of business publications. Also includes industry & market research reports from Datamonitor and country reports from CountryWatch and Business Monitor.
- Business & Company Resource Center
Database of company and industry profiles and articles from business periodicals. Mostly full-text. Do a company search and select your company. Many of the companies listed in this database include a brief company profile and links to articles about the company on various topics. If your company has a company profile, look at the left-hand side of the screen for "Articles about this company." Take a look at the articles under the heading "Products & Services."
