Film Feature Forum — The on-line bibliography by the Audio-Visual Euro-Net. This online index offers English abstracts of essays and articles recently published in eleven film journals all over Europe.
Film Index International — Detailed information about motion pictures (production information) & cinema workers. Includes references to articles.
Film Literature Index Online (1976-2001) — The FLI Online contains approximately 700,000 citations to articles, film reviews and book reviews published between 1976-2001. The print version, at Z5784.M9 F5 Info Commons Ref covers 1973-present.
Humanities International Complete — Wide bibliographic coverage of humanities literature.
International Index to Film Periodicals [FIAF] — FIAF Index to Film Periodicals is a bibliographical index offering coverage of domestic and international academic and popular film journals from 1972 to the present.
International Index to the Performing Arts — Covers the disciplines of dance, film, drama/theater, broadcast arts, the performance business and more. Indexes dozens of film and media arts related journals.
MLA —Database of articles on literature, literary criticism, and linguistics. 1963-present.
Russian & Eastern European Feature Films in the UA Library — Fairly up to date lists of feature films and of documentaries
Russian National Bibliography — IN RUSSIAN. This database gives access to 9 major Russian bibliographic resources, including Летопись журнальных статей, Летопись газетных статей, and Книжная летопись. Covers 1998-present. Searchable in transliteration or in Cyrillic and is browsable by date. Subject headings are provided in English and in Russian. A terrific bibliographic resource.

WorldCat — A union catalog of records for all types of material (including films, videos and DVDs) cataloged by hundreds of academic and public libraries throughout the world. Updated daily.

The New Film Index: A Bibliography of Magazine Articles in English, 1930-1970. Z5784.M9 M29 1975 Main — A good source for historical research on film. Most databases do not cover these early years.
Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature — AI3 .R48 Information Commons Ref. — Includes references to actors, actresses, directors, and other people in the film and television industries. The library has the printed edition of the index from the late nineteenth century to date.
Retrospective Index to Film Periodicals, 1930-1971. — Z5784.M9 B39 Main — Historical index of film scholarship predates the Film Literature Index, above. Indexes 14 English-language film periodicals, as well as articles from the Village Voice.
The critical index: a bibliography of articles on film in English, 1946-1973. — Z5784.M9 G47 Main. — A good source for critical material from the early post-war years through the early 1970s.
Thaw Cinema/Кино оттепели (Artima Studio) — IN RUSSIAN. Library Copy was STOLEN. Ask Michael Brewer to use his personal copy by emailing brewerm@u.library.arizona.edu — Entries on over 300 Thaw films and 400 Soviet cinema workers. Each of the 314 film entries includes not only production information and a plot summary, but also several quotes from film reviews in the contemporary popular press and a sizable bibliography of supporting critical works. Additionally, numerous stills and links to film posters and production sketches accompany most of the film entries and many also include lengthy selections from published first person accounts of the film's production. In all there are more than 1100 individual pages containing over 1700 illustrations and photographs. The most useful and unique elements of this CD ROM are the hundreds, if not thousands of references to critical works, contemporary popular reviews and memoirs.

Актёры советского фильма — IN RUSSIAN. A valuable site for information on Rusian and Soviet actors. Give brief biographical information, photographs, a filmography and links to online information about the actor.
Bibliography of Russian & Soviet Cinema — Though it makes no claim to be comprehensive, this bibliography is extensive (and is religiously updated). Compiled by Vladimir Padunov of the University of Pittsburgh.
KinoEye.org — A very high quality online cinema journal. One can browse the journal's archives by journal issue, by original film title, by translated English title, by director or by national cinema. One can also search the archives by keyword. Content is in English only, though links are given to many sites in the vernacular.
Kino Forum — an good, online journal (with archive) dealing with Russian and Soviet film. Primarily in Russian (though there are some translated articles).
KinoKultura — A peer-reviewed online journal edited by Birgit Beumers and Vladimir Padunov. Includes a section on new films with brief summaries as well as occassional in-depth reviews, a section with film news (what's in production, etc.) and a section with peer-reviewed articles.
MegaBook — IN RUSSIAN. (Used to be Энциклопедия Кирилла и Мефодия ) In some ways the gold-standard for online Russian film resources. Searchable by keyword or browsable by article title, personal name, profession, etc. In Russian
Nashe Kino — IN RUSSIAN. A database that contains information on Russo-Soviet films and workers within the film industry. Searches can be conducted for specific titles, personnel, description, or year.
