Finding Dissertations and Theses
Obtaining UA Dissertations & Theses
Individuals wishing to obtain copies of UA dissertations or theses owned by the UA Library who live outside the Tucson area have the following options available.
Check our Campus Repository - Many dissertations and some Master's and Honors theses are now freely available, primarily covering the years 1982-1996, and 2005 to present.
If you are affiliated with an academic institution, check to see if your library subscribes to the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Full Text database. PDF files for most UA dissertations and some Master's theses from 1997 forward (and many earlier as well) are available there.
The University of Arizona Library does not loan library materials directly to non-affiliated individuals. However, InterLibrary loans may be requested through your college or university library if you are a student, faculty or staff, or though your local public library.
Our InterLibrary Loan department charges $30 for loans in the United States and $45 for international loans ($30, if available electronically).
