Databases Detail: Beta-SEARCH (cancelled)

Access: Access to this database is no longer available through the UA Library.
Notes:  The UA Library's contract for BetaSEARCH will not be renewed. The system has been shut down as of 10:00 a.m. on June 30.
We have a replacement system under construction and expect to have it available before the end of August, 2006. The new system should dramatically reduce the time required to search multiple resources, will have many more resources available, and is simple and easy to use.
Contents: UA library catalogs, journal article indexes and other databases. This is a work in progress, so please excuse any downtime or lack of functionality.

Use your NetID to Sign In:

  • Signing in allows you to access UA-only restricted resources from off campus.
  • It also allow syou to use the full range of Beta-Search's features including:
    1. Saving searches or lists of records for later use.
    2. Creating clusters of simultaneously searchable resources and saving them for later use. (See "Profiles" below.)
    3. Accessing the complete set of pre-configured search profiles.
  • Sign in is an option under "My Account" on the left side of the Web page. Use your UA NetID and password to sign in. Find out about NetID at https://netid.arizona.edu/.

Profiles:

  • Profiles are clusters of related resources that can be searched simultaneously.
  • Current Beta-SEARCH profiles include:
