Access geospatial data for the Mexican states of Baja California Norte, Sonora, and Chihuahua. You can view and extract 85 map layers as shapefiles.
There are two ways to view and download the data:
- Mexico 1:50,000 Scale Vector Data (interactive web map)--turn layers off and on, zoom in/out, pan, measure distances, identify features; locate by latitude/longitude or place name, search by point, line or polygon; download data for an area you define.
- Access in ArcGIS software via ArcGIS Server as a Map Service or WMS GIS server connection. See the following for instructions on how to set up the connection: Adding East View Cartographic hosted data.
- Mexico Geospatial Data Layers– Translates data layer names from Spanish to English
- Geographic Database: Dictionary of Topographic Data – information about each data layer. Includes attributes, completeness restrictions and relations to other layers
