Description: In a show opening August 20 and continuing through October 22, 2007, Special Collections and the Main Library at the University of Arizona will display a variety pf artist books from the UA library collections. The items on display are owned by the UA Libraries.

A free exhibit opening will be held at 7pm on August 20th and will feature presentations by Bill and Vickie Stewart, owners of Vamp & Tramp, Booksellers, in Birmingham, Alabama. The Stewarts will share their vast knowledge of the contemporary market for artistís books and stories about some of todayís preeminent books artists. The reception will be held in Special Collections on the UA campus and the public is invited. Beginning August 13, parking reservations are required to use the Cherry Street Garage at any time. Please contact Special Collections (520) 621-6423) by August 15 if you require access to the garage for the August 20 event. Your name will be added to a list the Library will submit for reserved parking. Free parking is also available after 5pm on a space available basis in the zone 1 surface lots near the library (lots 6093, 6097 and 6091). The exhibition is co-curated by Associate Professor Karen Zimmermann, Chair, Visual Communications Division, UA School of Art and Paula Wolfe, Fine Arts and Architecture Librarian.
