Sonoran Desert Knowledge Exchange Community Showcase: The Desert Tortoise

Description: This showcase features a presentation by Daina Dajevskis, Interpretive Park Ranger at Saguaro National Park. She will bring live desert tortoises and share information about their habitat as well as current conservation and tracking techniques.

This is the third in a series of four Community Showcases planned for this spring by the Sonoran Desert Knowledge Exchange (SDKE), http://www.sdke.org/. SDKE is a collaborative initiative led by the UA Libraries that seeks to bring together individuals and organizations who have information, services and other resources that can contribute to increased awareness, research and preservation of the Sonoran Desert. The initiative is funded by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records.
