Odyssey: The Photographs of Linda Connor

Dates: March 27, 2009 - June 21, 2009
Location: Center for Creative Photography
Cost: Free
Odyssey explores sacred spaces through the photographer’s pursuit of diverse and compelling subjects around the world. Connor has worked extensively in India, Indonesia, Turkey, Cambodia, Egypt, Tibet, and the American Southwest. She uses a large-format view camera, allowing her to achieve remarkable clarity and rich detail. Toned and fixed with gold chloride, the prints have a warmth, luminosity, and delicacy seldom found in standard photographic printing. Included in the exhibition are some of her best known images from the past three decades, along with a group of works making their museum debut: key images Connor has created at a much larger scale, using digital scans and inkjet printing.
