Join Anne Kilmer, Professor Emeritus of Assyriology, University of California, Berkeley, as she discusses Ancient Mesopotamian Cuneiform Tablet Archives, Scribes, and the Development of Libraries. The talk kicks off a fall lecture series exploring "The Roots of Literacy in the Ancient Near East" that is being held in conjunction with the exhibit Writings Out of Time: The University of Arizona's Cuneiform Collection on display in Special Collections from Sept. 14 through Dec. 8.
