University Libraries Fee Changes

Because of rising processing costs, the University Libraries will be changing its fee structure effective Oct. 1, 2009. The changes will be:

-- Billing charges - currently $25 will be changing to $40

-- Lost/Missing book processing - currently $15 changing to $25

-- Pima College student library card - currently $35/tri-semester or $100/yr changing to $50 tri-semester or $150/yr (unless they choose to become a Friend of the Library at the $125 level)

-- Business library card - currently $200 for 3 users changing to $500 for 3 users

Unaffected will be Pima College faculty library cards which will remain free of charge. In addition, Faculty/Staff spouse library card which are currently $50 will be offered for free.

Community user library cards which have been offered at for $100 a year will be discontinued. Instead,community users who want a library card can purchase a Friends of the Libraries Card at the $125 level which will give cardholders circulation privileges at the library.
