You can now access Mexico Geospatial Data for the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, and Baja California Norte through the University Libraries! The maps and data can be viewed and downloaded through an interactive mapping website or can be added as a GIS Service in ArcGIS software.
The maps and data correspond to detailed (scale 1:50,000) topographic mapping by the Mexican Governments mapping agency, Instituto Nacional de Estadistíca y Geografíca (INEGI). You can do some basic querying of the maps (zoom in and out, pan, find coordinates of a point, identify features, and measure distances). The data is represented as separate layers that can be downloaded as shapefiles or AutoCAD files.
