"Hear and forget, see and remember, do and learn." That aphorism sums up the basic principle behind the University Libraries' award-winning Guide on the Side tutorial software. It's one thing to tell a student how to do something, but guiding them though the work helps ensure the learning will stick. Leslie Sult, instructional services librarian, explains how replicating that same "guide on the side" model online has been easier said than done, especially for librarians and educators with limited budgets or access to technical help . . . until now.
This special presentation is part of a full day of events to launch the biggest fundraising campaign in University of Arizona history. Visit the UA Foundation website to view the complete schedule of events.
