List of Federally Registered Tribes
The text of the March 22, 2007 Federal Register. The official name of the list is: "Indian Entities Recognized and Eligible to Receive Services from the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs." The list is to be published annually in the Federal Register.

Searching this free web site can help you find indigenous languages, the families to which they belong, where they are spoken and an estimated number of speakers.

Lexis-Nexis Statistical Universe
Indexes U.S. statistics, state statistics and international statistics. Some private sources are included as well. Some statistics are available in table form in the data base while others have full text or a link to U.S. government web site. The Library owns the microfiche which back this data base up.
