The Gateway Service Center , which is administered by the East Asian Library of the University of Pittsburgh Library System , focuses on free delivery of full-text Chinese-language academic publications to any researcher who cannot find the needed item in any U.S. libraries. Full-text articles are transmitted electronically via the Internet from the participating libraries in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan which hold the titles, to Pittsburgh, where they are, then, sent to requesters via the Internet.
