Services Offered
- Research Assistance:
- For students and faculty who need more in-depth, specialized assistance than can be provided at the Library reference desks, I will consult with you via email, phone or meet one-on-one to help you. I will work to find the specific information needed and/or teach you how to use specific library research tools. Call or e-mail me with your question or to set up an appointment.
- In addition, I can work with you to set up Current Awareness/Email Alerts and Table of Contents emails. You may set up these services yourself or contact me with your search terms and list of favorite journals and I will set this up for you.
- Teaching: I am available to partner with faculty and graduate TAs to develop appropriate information literacy resources and services for your students. In a classroom setting or via web-based learning objects, students can gain important information literacy skills, including how to use research tools such as SABIO, various journal index databases, or how to find information resources on the Internet. I will tailor these services to a particular course project or assignment.
- Collections for Teaching & Research - The Library acquires information resources to support the teaching and research needs of UA faculty, staff and students. Because of space constraints we prefer electronic content. Let me know about important titles that the library should acquire!
- Faculty Partnerships - I am interested in working collaboratively with faculty on innovative information resource related projects. For example, I've been involved in projects to digitize existing printed resources and also in creating new electronic resources. Let me know if you have an idea that we could work on together.
