WorldMapper
Worldmapper is a collection of world maps, using equal area cartograms where territories are re-sized on each map according to a particular variable. Also includes pdf file that you can print out and data used to map the variable as an excel file.
The Arizona Electronic Atlas
A web-based GIS interactive atlas of Arizona with several map themes and layers including species richness, EPA sites, demographics, economics, and more. Data is available for free downloading. The links page is an excellent resource to other online atlases.
Digital Atlas of Texas Counties
Includes county base maps, shaded relief maps, and satellite images to dowload as JPEGs or print as PDFs.
The National Atlas
At this Dept. of the Interior web site, you can make interactive maps by selecting layers pertaining to climate, agriculture, biology, the environment, geology, people, history, and more.
