Health Reference Center
A full-text database of consumer health documents, including term definitions, book chapters, organization information, pamphlets, and journal and popular magazine articles. Subject headings for Chicanos include "Mexican-Americans" and "Mexican-American Women." Try keyword searches for "Chicano" or "Chicanos."

CINAHL
Abstracts of journal articles, books, dissertations, and conference proceedings on nursing and consumer health. Try a keyword search for "Mexican-American" or a subject search for "Hispanic."

A full-text Spanish language collection of medical research and investigative journals published by renowned Latin American medical publishers. This unique database provides access to full text for nearly 125 periodicals, including over 50 peer-reviewed medical journals in native Spanish.

Salud para Todos
A full-text Spanish-language database designed to make useful health information more readily accessible for Spanish-speaking consumers and patients. It includes a wealth of valuable information gained from federal and state agencies, voluntary health associations, pharmaceutical companies, and other health-related organizations.

Health and Environment Resources
From the Borderlands Encyclopedia at the University of Texas at El Paso. A list of links to web resources on health and environmental issues of concern to people living in the U.S.-Mexico border region.

National Center for Farmworker Health
From the Center's web page: "The National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH), established in 1974, is dedicated to improving the health status of farmworker families by providing information services and products to a network of more than 500 migrant health center service sites in the United States as well as other organizations and individuals serving the farmworker population."

U.S.-Mexico Border Health Commission
The USMBHC is a binational health commission created in July 2000 through the signing of an agreement by the Secretary of Health and Human Services of the United States and the Secretary of Health of Mexico. The mission of the United States-Mexico Border Health Commission is
to provide international leadership to optimize health and quality of life along the U.S.-Mexico border.
