MAJOR DATABASES
Astrophysics Data System - ADS
The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a NASA-funded project which maintains three bibliographic databases containing more than 5.5 million records: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Physics, and arXiv e-prints. The main body of data in the ADS consists of bibliographic records, which are searchable through our Abstract Service query forms, and full-text scans of much of the astronomical literature which can be browsed though our Browse interface.
The premier index for geoscience literature. Indexes publications in the geosciences and geophysics covering North America from 1785 to the present and the rest of the world from 1933 to the present. Links to many full-text articles.
World literature of physics, astronomy and astrophysics, optics and optoelectronics, electrical engineering, electronics, computers and computing technology. Coverage: 1898 to present.
Intute: Science, Engineering and Technology is a free online service providing you with access to the very best Web resources for education and research, evaluated and selected by a network of subject specialists. It covers the physical sciences, engineering, computing, geography, mathematics and environmental science. The database currently contains 33185 records.
Web of Science (Science Citation Index)
Multidisciplinary database through cited authors. Coverages: Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPANDED)--1900-present; Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)--1956-present.
ADDITIONAL DATABASES
American Meteorological Society (AMS) Electronic Journals
Includes Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences, Journal of Applied Meteorology, Journal of Physical Oceanography, Monthly Weather Review, Journal of Atmospheric and Oceanic Technology, Weather and Forecasting, Journal of Climate, Journal of Hydrometeorology, and the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society. Abstracts are provided, and articles are available in full text HTML and PDF formats.
National Technical Information Service (NTIS)
Index to results of U.S. sponsored research, development and engineering, plus analyses prepared by federal agencies, their contractors or grantees. Some state and local government agencies contribute their reports to this database. Other countries included are Japan, Germany, France, the UK, and other leading industrialized nations.
NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS)
The NTRS is a valuable resource for students, educators, researchers, and the public for access to NASA's current and historical technical literature since it was first released in 1994. NTRS provides access to approximately 500K aerospace related citations, 90K full-text online documents, and 111K images and videos. NTRS numbers continues to grow over time as new scientific and technical information (STI) is created or funded by NASA.
The SIMBAD astronomical database provides basic data, cross-identifications, bibliography and measurements for astronomical objects outside the solar system.
Space Telescope Electronic Preprint database provided by the Space Telescope Science Institute.

E-Print Network - Search thousands of e-prints in scientific and technical disciplines
A Deep Web distributed search across E-prints on Web Sites and/or Databases is accomplished with a single query that returns results from multiple sources.
PUBLISHERS' COLLECTIONS
American Geophysical Union (AGU) journals
AGU currently publishes a weekly newspaper, eighteen scientific journals, and nine book series. Making the results of geophysical research available to the individuals who need them to advance the understanding of Earth and space is one of the primary purposes of the organization.

Cambridge Journals Online (CJO), provides full text for over one hundred journals in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
Springer Online (Kluwer)
Includes current and some back issues of Springer/Verlag & Birkhauser publications in the fields of biology/biomedicine, chemistry, geosciences, computer sciences, mathematics, medicine, physics, engineering, ecology, and economics. Kluwer is now owned by Springer and access to former Kluwer journals is available from the Springer Web site.
Full-text access to 15 journals from Nature Publishing Group: Nature, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Cell Biology, Nature Genetics, Nature Immunology, Nature Materials, Nature Medicine, Nature Neuroscience, Nature Reviews Cancer, Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, Nature Reviews Genetics, Nature Reviews Immunology, Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, and Nature Structural Biology.
