The American Psychoanalytic Association
This page includes information of the professional organization of psychoanalysts throughout the United States. Information on literature, public information, programs, meetings, fellowship and membership.

American Psychological Association
Provides links to a wealth of information and resources on this organization, electronic publications, APA help center, education and student information, practice, public interest, membership and science
directories.

Social Psychology Network
This page contains professional organizations within psychology. Students can join these organizations to build up their résumés and to taste the professional literature. Some organizations offer discounts for students to acquire membership and start receiving psychology journals, newsletters, conference materials and other mailings. This site focuses mainly on general psychology and social psychology in the first section. The final section includes web sites with links to other specialty areas within psychology and links to psychology societies outside of the United States.

American National Biography - The American National Biography offers full text portraits of more than 17,500 [deceased] men and women from all eras and walks of life whose lives have shaped the nation. Includes about 7000 biographies not found in the earlier Dictionary of American Biography [which was also published under auspices of the ACLS]. Searchable by name, gender, occupation, birth date, birthplace, death date, contributor's name and/or words/phrases in the full text. Approximately 125 new biographies added each quarter.

Biography and Genealogy Master Index
Biographical information for all subjects, all nationalities and centuries.

Contemporary Authors (now part of Literature Resource Center)
Refers to anyone who writes, in any field.

Oxford Dictionary of National Biography
Biographies of 50,000 men and women who have shaped all aspects of British history from the earliest times up to the present.
