Billing, Processing, and Replacement Fees
How to Pay
There are several payment methods available to you to pay your billing, processing, replacement, and/or collection fees.
PLEASE NOTE: Hourly and daily fees do not actually show on your account until the late item has been returned. Also, if you are a student, library charges that have been sent to your Bursar's account will no longer show on your library account.
Your Responsibilities
Please review our fee structure, which applies to all library borrowers.
You can check your borrower information online to:
- check what materials are still checked-out to your account
- view the due dates of your books
- see if any of your items have been recalled
- renew eligible materials
- check on the status of and/or cancel your holds/recalls
- check if you owe any late or replacement fees
- pay your fees with Visa, Mastercard, or American Express
The following reasons are not acceptable grounds for appeal:
- Failure to keep the library informed of current mailing and/or e-mail address.
- A lack of knowledge of our policies, including policies regarding balances placed with a collection agency.
- Being out of town even if it was on University business.
- The fact that the charges were accrued during a University intersession period.
- Disagreement with the amount.
- Inability to pay the amount.
- Failure to receive a courtesy overdue notice.
- Failure to notify the library of a lost CatCard/library card in a timely manner. Please see here for more information on lost/stolen cards.
- Lending someone your card to check out materials or lending them your checked-out materials, and their subsequent failure to return items on time.
- Failure to log out of an Express Check-Out Machine after its use.
- Having library materials stolen or having your property stolen with libary materials in it (e.g. car theft, stolen backpack).
Please see more detailed information about our policies and procedures.
