Instructional Support - Consult with Us
We can help develop library research objectives for your course, as well as create research-related instructional materials customized to your lesson plans.
We can also help you create a customized course guide for your class. These offer you an easy way to ensure your students have the library resources they need. Course guides will be automatically linked from your D2L course site.

Instructional Support - Key Resources
Resources for your teaching
This is a customized library tool that appears in the blue menu bar in D2L course sites. It provides information about library services, a chat box to ask us a question, a library catalog search box, library databases specific to the subject area (based on course prefix), and any library course guides that have been created for your course.
If “Library Tools” does not appear in the blue menu bar on your D2L course site, here’s how to add it:
> Click “Edit Course”
> Click on “Navigation”
> Click the “active” navbar
> Click the “Links” tab
> In the box for “Bottom Left Link Area” click “Add Links” button
> Next to "View," select “Custom Links,” then click “Go”
> Click the box next to Library Tools, then click “Add.”
(It won’t show up until you click some other area, such as Homepages.)

Tours
We work with the University Office of Undergraduate Admissions to provide interactive tours for high school students as a part of the students' activities on campus coordinated through the Office of Admissions. We also provide training and/or information for high school teachers or librarians, so they can lead tours of the University Libraries for their students. If interested in learning more about this, please contact Jeanne Pfander.
Campus tours for visitors and middle school groups are available through the UA Visitor Center.
