- You’ve both had the opportunity to spend some time viewing the UA Libraries Special Collections exhibit "Remembering an Empire: The Empire Ranch of Southern Arizona." In your opinion, what do you see as the public value of this exhibit that documents the history of such an important and powerful ranch?

- And, of course, the exhibit includes material significant to The University of Arizona as well: the letter from Walter Vail to Selim Franklin. As a member of the 1884 territorial legislature of Arizona, Franklin is often referred to as the father of The University of Arizona for his role in the passing of the measure establishing the territory’s institution of higher learning. Can you tell me about some of the items in the exhibit that stand out most to you?
