University Libraries
- Main Library
Books, periodicals, and microforms relating to the social sciences, humanities, fine arts, education and business form the basis of the Main collection. The building houses collections of media, maps and government documents.
- Science Engineering Library
The Science-Engineering Library is located in the center of campus on the south side of the grassy UA mall. It is directly across from the Administration Building and located between Bear Down Gym and the Koffler Building. The collection includes materials on the life and physical sciences, engineering and technology, and military sciences. The Library also has selected materials on medicine, psychiatry and related health sciences, which complement the collection in the Arizona Health Sciences Library located in the University Medical Center. The Science-Engineering Library provides access to print and electronic material formats for books, journals, indexes, and selected government publications from NASA, DOE, USGS, FAO, and other agencies. The Library also houses an Information Commons which provides access to numerous computer workstations configured with a variety of software and assistive technologies, including access to scanners and laser printers
- Special Collections
The University of Arizona Library Special Collections maintains collections of rare books and unique archival materials that make possible in-depth research on selected topics. The scope and diversity of Special Collections make it an important resource for the international academic community. Established in 1958 to house materials on Arizona, the Southwest, and the U.S./Mexico Borderlands, Special Collections now includes rare books, manuscript collections, photographs, and other materials in a wide variety of subject areas.
- Center for Creative Photography
The Center for Creative Photography is an archive and research center located on the University of Arizona campus. We retain the archives of Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Garry Winogrand, Harry Callahan, and other great 20th century photographers—over fifty archives in all.
- Fine Arts Library
The University of Arizona Library recognizes that the Architecture, Music and Center for Creative Photography Libraries will soon run out of space. The Fine Arts Library is the a step toward a larger research center on the north side of campus in which library services and collections are brought together under one roof. Librarians and staff from the Architecture, Music and Center for Creative Photography Libraries are under one roof, to provide comprehensive services. Reference collections for Architecture, Music, and Photography are in one location.

In addition to the University Libraries The University of Arizona is also home to the libraries of the Arizona Health Sciences, the Arizona State Museum, Law, Optical Sciences, and the Poetry Center as well as the collections of the Arid Lands Information Center, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, the Herbarium, and the Museum of Art. Users can search the collections of the Law Library, the Arizona Health Sciences Library, Media Arts Library, and the Poetry Center through the University Libraries’ online catalog.
